ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I suppose they are "good" for the price.

But, honestly... do you trust the quality of $20 springs supporting 3,000lbs?

Save up some money and buy better quality shit, it might save your life.

A lot of people will tell you they're junk, however I am running them on my CB7 since the end of May and I think they're great! All about personal preference. They were great for me because they give you that really low stance for a small price, and you can raise them back up when winter comes around. The ride's pretty good too IMO

I wouldn't recommend them, if for nothing else cause u don't know what ur getting.

If u look around u can find a good deal on real springs. I picked up a set of Skunk2 coilover sleeves for $100 locally.

Ive got a set of "Aerospeed" coilovers for a Civic in mine (I dunno if theyre better the nthe regular eGay variety or not) but Im pretty happy with them.

Ive been using for a bit better then a year (they were on my 1G Camry before). The Civic spring rates seem pretty good for the Accord (450 f / 350 r) and they look to be holding up well (IE: they're not all rusted to shit and the perches still move well and all that).

Yea at least w/a brand like Arospeed or Dropzone you kind of know what you're getting. I wouldn't mess w/those $20 springs though.,

Better to do it right the first time, so you don't have to waste time and money redoing it.

Almost 4 months and no sign of wear whatsoever, still rides just as good as the day I put them on. I've checked them and they're holding up like new. I've known people who've used ebay coilovers for years without problems, I think it all depends on how you drive. If you fly over potholes and bumps in the pavement, ANY strut or spring can give out. Have you ever owned a pair of springs for an extended period of time? You seem to be the quickest on here to knock them, maybe you just had a bad experience.

I've had my Skunk2's for about 10 months.
My roommate has had them atleast 3 years.

                          I've had in the past:
Tein Basic coilovers for 1 1/2 years.
Switched to KSport after I sodl the Teins, had them for a year.
Sold those, got Stance coilovers, then sold the car.
                          (That was with a 1991 240sx.)

                          They were terrible.
About a month after installing them, I could already tell problems were heading my way, so I QUICKLY trashed them.
One was cracked, one started to rust, and the other 2 were beginning to sag.
Maybe I just got a bad pair, but I haven't heard anything good about them, other than the fact they cost less than dinner.

You had a bad experience, but you HAVE heard good things about them because I am on here saying good things about them. If yours were junk after only a month you either: (A) got a bad set; or (B) drive like a maniac over bumpy roads, personally I hope is was (A). They work well if you get a good set and treat them right, and they're a great alternative for people who cannot afford the brand name items, such as myself.
