ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

rear fog light ......ive got questions

im planning to buy a rear fog light (the real ones)

does the EF9 civic ones fit on our cars?

about how much is a (1)rear fog light with pigtails without the switch?

do i need a oem wire harness to link it up? or i could just use speaker wires?

so basically i only need a fog with pigtails, speaker wires, and the switch with pigtails.....am i correct?

helping myself as well as other Cb7tuners

    thanks

fyi - i have looked at the diy for the rear fogs but cannot seek out some answers

    Wires:

Im not a professional, however, I have wired up alot of crap, and I always take my time and never shortcut. If i were going to wire it up, I would save my $$ and forget the speaker wire and get a small roll of general purpose wire, and a relay from an auto parts store. I would look on here, or on eBay for an ome rear fog switch for a clean look- but you could always use a regular toggle or something if you like. As far as the civic rear fog fitment, it wouldn't surprise me if it did work, it may need a little modification, but I sure others on here could give you a better explanation for that one. good luck!!!

Most of the ones I've seen on here are off EF Civics.

As for wiring, I agree with accord=inspire?

Everything I've read said the EF Civic one is the one to buy.

I've heard there's a template in the rear bumper where to put it, but I haven't ever personally confirmed it...

I'd pick up a cheap fog light wiring kit to wire it up properly. I would run an inline fuse/relay setup. There's no need to create a fire hazard.

speaker wires are far more expensive than the regular wires.. ever wonder why?

to the OP: yes, EF civic rear fogs will work.. asking if the speaker wires would work, suggests that you have no enough knowledge or experience on that field. i'd suggest that you take the advice of AccordWarrior and just buy a wiring kit..

::added aditional info in the DIY thread.
