ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I have a blue interior CB7 and I just got it painted, and they got the paint dust all over the vinyl and it will not come off, any suggestions on what i should use to get it off?

And where i could get this product at. Preferably walmart or advance auto.

Try using Simple Green (concentrated formula). Dilute with water.

Try it in a small section to see if any results.

        Trev.

try the magic eraser. it's an abrasive sponge that will wear the paint off.

oh, and i'd ditch the armorall and turtle wax products. later.

Ok since your the king of clean Why not use armorall though? or works great to hide all the crap. The turtle wax is a little old anyways, the maguiars is the most recent stuff, along with the ICE polish.

If you hvae brand new paint, you're going to want to avoid swirls at all costs.

I would invest in using the two bucket method. I currently use a Tile Grout sponge which does a great job of cleaning the car without damaging the paint. I purchasesd it from Home Depot, but I forget the brand, it's either got a X or a Z in it.

I would also invest in a bunch of microfiber towels to dry and detail with. I know that both my sponge and the Viking Microfiber towels (bought at k-mart) have gotten rave reviews on Autopia as far as being good budget products that don't swirl/mar your paint.

I personally hate meguiar's products so I wouldn't ever suggest them. I would have to go with Mother's products. As for washing your car...if the paint is baked on your should be able to wash it within a few days after.

if you havent waxed in a while use a cleaner wax, I think that red bottle of meguiars is the right stuff.
