ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Good quality CF shatters on a large impact. It isn't guaranteed to depending on the strength of the impact, but it does not bend like metal. It flexes to a point, and then disintegrates, like most "composite" materials. Metals distort, eventually to the point where they won't go back, but they are very malleable, so they will stay in one distorted piece under conditions which CF would not. That is why even on most composite planes the wings are still metal. Because it allows more progressive failure characteristics.

Also, I was referring primarily to high speed hood lifts, where they will usually occur on a properly latched hood.

Yeah! Ok well I thought u were that guy coz I told him about this website. He says he views this site but he never became a member. He had a Euro-R swap that he sold and bought a perfect body Green CB7 that he's starting to mod. He met JDM_Inspired in Vallejo one time too when he was trying to buy parts.

These are my hoodpins I've installed earlier this year.

Looks better than pins that stick out with rings
If I don't like how mine will stay there this aero laches/pins way to go.

I installed those myself. I was going to have a bodyshop put them in but it's fun to work on the car yourself. It took me forever to put them in because I was anal about measurements and wanted it to be perfect. I then got the balls to install some on my friends Scion and that took about 3hrs.

The hardest part was finding a place to put them and then I got the idea of drilling thru the OEM hood rubber height adjusters and got a nice fit. It's just like installing regular hood pins but then u have to make up for the larger area the whole flip section takes place of. The original location where Scion owners install the hood pins are usually closer to the middle and but didn't work for my friends car because of the pin design. If we installed it there, the plastic hood pin section wouldn't sit flush because the hood isn't exactly flat and it curves near the front edge of the car. This is why I modified his hood height adjusters and it came out flawless!

I just recently put some regular hood pins on a co-workers 01 Altima too.

those are some badass hood pins, i am gona have to get some due to my wire tuck,/ removal of everything i don't need under the hood... including the latch.

i think these will be my best choice.
