What size tires are you guys running on your 17" s? When i got the car it had 17" s on it but the wheel gap is herendous! I measured a 3.5 inch gap on stock shocks and springs theres a 3.5 inch gap. Even with a decent drop thats still alot of gap. then i looked and the tire size and while i know the rims were low profile because they were on a integra before I realized that the tires are mega thin. 17/205 ? ? I can get a good deal on some skunk2 lowering springs and I was wondering is 17/225 a decent size to help eliminate some of that wheel gap. Whats a standard size thats not to bulky and not too thin. Post pics of your setup if possible thanks !

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

What tire size?

An excellent site that let's you compare all kinds of tire sizes and how they compare to the stock tire.
The stock size for the LX is 185/70-14. The stock size for the EX is 195/60-15. Using a +2 method on the EX tire size, you should be running a 215/40-17. A lot of people have had good results with this size.
I personally ran a 215/45-17 just to lose some of the wheel gap since I didn't have an aggressive drop.
I would think depending on the offset you could run into rubbing issues with the 225.
Do NOT run 205/40-17 tires unless you're absolutely slammed and live where there's no potholes. You don't have enough sidewall to soak up bumps and your rims will bend. In addition you're gaining wheel gap with that setup.

ok cool because like i stated in anoter thread, the previous owner of the car cracked a rim and almost wrecked so i am guessing that part of the reason is because of those rims paired with the fact that we live in nyc aka pothole city! The skunk 2 springs are a 2.0 inch drop at max so I am going to get the 215's but i am still considering the 225s though! Anybody with 17's running 225's with a 2 inch drop?

Too many people run on improper sizes. It may only be a few miles of difference on your speedometer but I personally hate it. When I'll get my 17" rims, I'll try and stay as close as I can to the total diameter end everything so that the revolution remains as close as possible to the original tire size and for a 17" that would be 205/45/17. Usually a tad more expensive since it is an uncommon tire size but it's nothing crazy.
