ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

If you ask of bumper lights! They are the same, only thing I done to them is puting some silicone around the edge so they don't leek any more.

Luxeon leds are bright but are complicated to wire them up, I've been looking lately at cars that have rear led lights, and there are two designs, one is luxeon leds witch is behind reflector glass, and second is regular led with curved mirror behind so when you stand at any angle you still see them like they are pointed at you.

It does seem that luxeon would be smart choise for me, If you look at new 4runner they only have 16 luxeon leds in one tail light and they are very bright.

I'm going to but new red clear tail now, I know how I want leds in there just not sure how it going to look, and if It can be fitted that way.

going to look for some new tails, they gone from ebay for some reason

the only other way for luxeon tail lights is buy the 3 or 5-watt 1157 or 1156 bulbs from superbrightleds.com
they are really bright but are also designed to spread the light evenly, i'd like to buy one and see the difference. just an idea

They are really expansive if you buy them as 1157 or 1156 bulb, I can get then on ebay as bulk much cheaper, plus I need close tondred of them,
        like this ones http://cgi.ebay.com/5x-RED-High-Powe...QQcmdZViewItem

        but i'm realizing 3W X 100 = 300W and 700mp X 100 = 70amp = fried wiring harnes but I might be wrong here.

i did this on the my brothers 97 accord tail lights and it looks like shit. ill try to get pics tomorrow. theres a clear textured plastic piece on the inside that i put the leds on but the outside red piece is textured too that makes it look like shit. i only put 25 in each light tho. im eventually going to do my tail lights with like 80is in each light. it will look better because there is less distance between the plastic pieces and the outside piece isnt textured. another problem is the lights being on and the brake light. im going to make it so the bulb lights up for the lights being on and only the leds come on for the brakes. and ill do my turn signals while im at it this time. like 30ish?

I want to see you make some led tails, so I can see how it going to look at day and night. Get some bright led like this
I would recommend 10mm as they cover more surface, its almost like three 5mm ones. Also get ones with hight output leds, the one I suggested are 150k mcd,( ones you have used on your brother car could be just regular 25k-50k and 5mm?)

As for brake and running light you can use voltage regulator like this one, run 10v for running light and standart 12v-14v for the brake lights, like you see on any other OEM led setup.

yes i did use the 5mm ones but i got them off ebay and they were high output. but you cant see from the picture, they all make "spots". im pretty sure all 5mm ones have a 25 degree view angle. i think ill save up a little more for the 10mm ones. and the voltage regulator is definitely necessary too. check it out. btw its like directly in the sun. ill take night pics later.

                  first is lights off
                  second running lights on
third is running and parking lights on

actually you cant see anything but w/e

LOL...out of three picture the only difference I see is third brake light, I know pictures can't do the justice during day time.
I would love to see some night time photos

not really. i say more. 5 mm are fine. and as u can see the outside plastic is textured. the cb7 isnt textured so it would look better on that. and also in the daytime they arent bright at all. the second pic shows u how dark it is lol
