men thats fire...Im 16 and just got my first 1991 honda accord lx 4 door automatic. Almost everything is stock. I usually see these nice fast good looking 91 accords on the road and internet and want to get there but I have no clue about all the technical engine talk. I only know the basics and want to know where to start so I can end up even changing my engine to a v-tech.???

First of all, welcome to the board.
Searching is going to be your new best friend. This site has been around for a while and has had enough members that most of the more frequent questions and problems have been answered previously.
IMO a good place to start is taking the time to read the stickies, ALL OF THEM. Not only will they help you find your way around the forum, I can assure you unless you are on the of engineers that originally designed this Chassis you will learn something. The stickies are chalk full of useful info from basic modifications to engine swap write-ups.
If you haven't already I am sure you will find the Members Ride threads to be a great place to get ideas and inspiration for your CB.

its all about what you want... you being 16 i would say go for apperance 1st... make sure you dont have no rust and the body is all good get you some lights. learn the difference between ebay stuff and real jdm stuff and get you some headlights oem foglights and a nice front lip, bodykits are kinda played out and most members would agree that the oem bumpers are good enough.
but there are also alot of kitted up accords on here that do look sweet.
after you get the body straight and painted start on the suspennision... get you some adjustable coil overs, camber kit, rear sway bar and a strut bar set, yet again learn the differnece between ebay and qulitity parts when buying these.
get some pictures up of it.. buy you a haynes manual and between that and this site you shouldnt have any problems. might want to buy you some tools

Before modifying anything, fix anything that's wrong with the car.
If you have rust, fix that before it gets worse.
Go get a tune up.
Make sure everything is working properly.
Change the spark plugs, oil, and air filter (unless you plan on getting a new intake soon).
Check all fluid levels in the car.
I'm sure I'm missing some things.
You could start with the basic intake, header, and exhaust if you want to squeeze a little more power out of your engine.
You could get new struts, springs, strut bars, and bushings if you want your car to handle a little better while giving it a more aggressive look.
It's all up to you man.

Like everyone else here has stated, searching and stickies help A LOT if you are new to the car culture in general. If you are somewhat mechanically in clined then as mentioned before you should take care of the small things like tune up and getting your car in the best condition you can. One of the biggest things with any car person is cleanliness. Anybody will agree that a car rockin a kit with an H22 and is a complete mess with broken lights, nasty paint and just insanely dirty just isn't as attractive as a nice clean car thats stock. Yeah, more than likely your car has the quarter rust that plagues the CB chassis, if not consider yourself lucky and just get the car clean and running good. Eventually lower it with some good springs/stuts and a lip is always nice. Then throw some nice-clean-not-over-the-top-gawky wheels on it and try your hardest to avoid eBay or junky parts. If its not OEM or good quality then don't do it, it'll be more $$ down the road. If you can't find what you want (i.e: black headlights) then get a practice light or two and try to just do it on your own. Nothing beats someone askin where you got something because they like it and you say 'I did that myself...". But good luck man, and welcome to the board!!

I'm about your age let me help
1. Lighting -- go jdm or even try out the diy's on here
2. Rims -- pick some that you like and get them painted if you need to and put some low-profile tires on it but keep your stocks just in case
3. ICE (in-car electronics) -- a good set of speakers and a decent stereo system depending on how much you like your music or the rear-view shaking
4. Engine -- make sure your fluids are topped off, buy a cold air intake they are cheap and make sure its heat wrapped, and all new filters
5. Paint -- save for that paint job possibly a body kit
6. Accents -- now you can start matching the little things to your paint this means battery, plug wires, calipers, even neons and it doesn't have to match but it must contrast
7. Suspension -- get it lowered but keep it legal/practical and include shocks, struts, and sway bars possibly a camber kit and all that kind of stuff
8. Save for that h22/f22 swap and the goods to make it fast
9. Riders -- get a really hot girlfriend to ride with you

Dont listen to everyone on here...A lot of ignorance romes around here. But like most said fix any rust before it gets worse and make sure the car is in proper mechanical order before you start modding it.
There is a lot of different ways you can go with it, you can jump into the JDM craze like everyone else, or go with a body kit and so on. But dont go JDM or they other just because people think its cool.
Look into the members rides thread and look for ideas and start doing what you think looks good to you...F*#k what everyone else thinks. Its your car, and take care of her. Treat her good and she will do the same for you.Welcome to the forum.
