ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    lighting wire up!

Okay well I have a few questions that I hope you guys can answer. I onced try to hook up my corner light to my bumper light to have my bumper light stay lit when my corner lights were on but i think I blew the ground wire for the corner light because not its dead. I checked all the fuses and nothing was blown so I'm guessing that a wire burnt out. Well anways what i want to know is that will it be possible to wire the dead corner light to the one that is working to make the dead on turn on? will that be possible? and I also got some fog lights that i picked up from the junk yard last week that i want to hook up and i was thinking about just trying to wire them up to the head lights or corner lights to have them turn on when i turn on my lights. any advice will be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Try using the same power wire as the turn signal, just ground it to a different location... that should work

Use a test light, ground the alligator clip, then poke the tip of the probe into each wire, if the light comes on, thats power, if not, then thats the ground

do NOT wire the bumper lights directly to the corner lights. they are not made to handle that current. you will blow stuff up (as you already noticed). you may have fried the harness or just the bulb or fuse. first fix your original problem then worry about wiring the next stuff.

this goes for foglights as well. search on here on how to wire them correctly. i've made two DIYs on this .

i checked the bulbs and the harness. everything seems fine. when this happened i smelt something burning like in the driver side probably from burning something up under the steering wheel where the fuse box is. my cousin said it might have been the main relay thats why i'm asking if its that.

i'd push your seat all the way back and get a flash light that's the only way you're going to find that toasted wire. if you did burn a wire, that's going to be a pita.
