ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Need help with deciding Yellow HID

I would like to get some 3500k yellow HID lights for my Nissan Frontier. (I know its not a cb7 lol - mods feel free to move this wherever)

I don't know a damn thing about HID kits, whats good or bad. Any advice would be great. the truck uses 9007 bulbs if that helps.

I see alot of diff kits; I don't want a crappy one.

my bro got an hid kit off ebay for 80 bucks. works great, no problems. they also hookup pretty easy. one wire will go to your factory plug. then you will have 2 small wires going to the new bulb. remember never, ever! touch a hid bulb. they make alot more heat than stock bulbs. so with your grease on it, it will burn out very quickly.

just look who you buy it from. dont buy from someone that sold less than 500 items. also buy from power sellers.
    miss my turbo cb7
moved onto volvos. dont know how that happened, just did

I got a 4300K(pure white) HID kit from them for my cb7 and I absolutely love it. Cheap, good quality, fast shipping. If you order 3000k, thats the yellow color you want.

ebay has tons of them, just need to find a legit seller. i found the guy with 99.9% feedback and over 18000 transactions and over a year warranty on his products. i know its still an ebay HID kit but its good quality for the money.

I got mine from ebay and have had them for quite some time now. I know prolumen kits had lifetime warranties on their ballasts so I think thats a good thing to consider, only thing is I'm not 100% sure that they still offer that warranty.

ebay is great. You got to watch out for those who like to cheat you!! Also the lower the "K" is the brighter it is. 3500k is bright. But 10000k and up are mainly for color looks and light output is not as great.

HID lights do not produce more heat then halogen bulbs. They are cooler, use less wattage, and last longer. The reason why a halogen bulb is hotter then a HID bulb is because a halogen has a filament. HID's use high voltage to ignite the gas. But still, you are right about not touching the bulb. I use rubber gloves just as a precaution whenever installing a lighting system.
