ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

oh well, the worst I have to pay is maybe half of that 32.59 for the quart, since all it took for the bumper was a little less than half. Unless how much more is it to get the 2 stage paint? maybe I should get that so the clearcoat shines better? or do you think it'll still be the same? I think all I need is prob. a pint instead of a quart.

In my experience - Single stage is alot more expensive, than 2 stage.
Which is where things become confusing.
2 stage can be - Lacquer paint and lacquer clear, OR Lacquer paint and 2K clear.
2K clear is better than lacquer clear (although a bit more expensive) as it doesn't lose it's shine as easily and less maintenence is required to keep it looking good.

Single stage paint holds it's color and shine, but is expensive (compared to lacquer)

so I went to return the stuff today, and had to get a different multi-stage paint. One that requires paint, clearcoat, reducer and hardner. Luckily my paint guy has the reducer and hardner and i just needed to buy the clear. This stuff was $110 a quart vs. $32.59 and it looks like it matches better already from the paint splash they put on top of the pint of paint. Luckily again, I only needed a pint of the stuff, so he gave me a break, instead of 55 a pint, the guy at the shop took back my singlestage stuff and charged me $23 for the pint of it. Oh and I guess 19 for the quart of clear

Paint or clear that requires hardner is 2K. Paint/clear that uses reducer/thinners is lacquer
Oem paint is Acrylic lacquer color with 2K clear.
