ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    certafit parts

i need a hood bumper and bumper support...anyone ever bought parts from certafit? were they good?

    #2
Ive never bought parts from them but ive known ppl who have and theyve had mized reviews. My friend bought a new bumper for his 2000 Accord and it fit and looked good. But i have known ppl to buy hoods or other part(s) and said they had fitment issues or leakage.

    Sorry, if that doesnt help.

They got some cheap A$$ parts but sometimes they dont fit properly though. I got my passenger side fender from them and it leaves a lil gap but not too noticable.

                  I have;

                  Front Bumper 9091 - $32
                  Front Bumper Lip 9495 - $15
                  Front Right Fender 9091 - $22
                  Front Left Fender 9091 - $22
                  Grill (not the molding) 9091 - $14

All fit perfect on my 91 ex.

The front bumper was a tight fit when I got it, that lip that mounts to the bumper support bracket was a little warped, but a flat head screw driver and another body got it to fit just fine.. no other issues here.

Sure you can. One of the reasons people like Honda is because of the build quality. When you replace all of your parts with garbage aftermarket ripoffs, you are essentially taking away the benefits of a Honda, pretty soon leaving you with an unrealiable POS. Not to mention the fact that OEM replacement parts really aren't that bad if you look at places like www.hondaautomotiveparts.com.

I had a Certifit hood. It fit fine. The metal was considerably lighter than stock. It's a weight savings of a few pounds, which is good... but it also dents much more easily than stock.

I'd buy from them again. For the price of that hood ($43) it was well worth it to me.

I have used them alot, the bumper I got sucked but the sheetmetal is fine. I also got my cd5 lip from them for 11 dollars.

I noticed that to lol. I have a whole front end from there pretty much.. The fitment is eh.. it works. The hood is fine, the bumper is kinda off.. but overall I am completly satisfied.

Most fitment issues are due to installation. It's amazing what some fine adjustments can do to a bumper and hood... It took me 7 tries to make my CF (Carbon Fiber, not Certi Fit... ) hood lay flat.

I find it amazing that people complain about how easily the stock parts dent, and then they put this crap on their cars.

The don't fit as well (even with alignment), they aren't as damage resistant, and in a short while, your car will end up looking just as bad as it did, especially if you don't baby the hell out of it.

P.S. It is blatantly obvious which ones have been replaced when you go to resale the car as well, and you are more likely to find a person that is going to detect damage, which will drive resale . What little bit you have left.

You would be better off finding a clean replacement OEM part in a junkyard honestly. In fact, most reputable body shops will do that before they buy sorta fit.
