ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Coupe Window Tinting

I was quoted 125.00$ + tax to tint my 92 coupe. Is this a good deal? Also, do people tint their windshields ever? Thanks

Sounds like a good deal to me. The place that did mine charged $185.

What all comes with that $125 price tag?

Lifetime warranty tint won't turn to sh!t? (i.e. fading, scratching, peeling).

As far as windshield tint, I personally have done it and still do to this day. Personal preference. (obviously don't do what the next person does).

Knock on wood, never had an issue w/popo. If they detect tint there, they should be giving a "warning" citation/safety repair order to fix the problem within a certain number of days.

Of course, State to State Laws vary.

My BIL owns a tint shop (close to one of new_beginnings houses )so he has 5% all the way around on his yukon, even the windshield. You can't see in or out of that thing.

He uses it to advertise his shop with the banners on the side so I don't think he has had many run-ins with the police. Most of the time it's parked out front of the shop. He told me he would tint my car with lifetime tint for $106. I still haven't decided if I want to do it or not.

Not sure what a regular tint job costs though, maybe I'll ask him how much an accord coupe costs to do.

I had 20% all around. Yes nice and dark. I would always open the sunroof shade to allow light in. Thus, cannot detect windshield tint.

I MAINLY did this to further cool the interior down!
