ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    '91 EX Coupe body kit

What i want for my car is a body kit that looks good but also helps the performance of the car. i have looked everywhere i can think of so does anyone know where i can find one for a good price?

    Body kits don't do performance.

If you want performance: do the engine , suspension and weight reduction.

i beg the differ some body kits do help with the performance, ie cooling the brakes and motor, help get air to the motor etc etc.

sadly the people that design body kits dont do Research and Development for all of those benefits you listed. Some just steal the design from EVOs and Skylines, or just randomly make lines and holes.

If you want performance, invest in the motor and suspension. Body kits for our cars in general are strictly for show. I know other hondas have companies that actually do their homework to make the kits do work but we dont have that.

that was just due to more air flow to the engine, big a** gaps everywhere, but more power to you with the body kits....Is your car already lowered? if so how low??

In order for a body kit to improve brake cooling, you'd need to cut holes in the original body for air to flow through. I can see it improving airflow into the engine compartment, maybe, but whatever performance you get from the improved airflow aould be offset by the added weight of the kit. If they did get better performance from a body kit, then they would have been even better off buying a CAI. Not once have I ever seen a body kit improve dyno results. Adding weight to your car will not improve performance. Adding a wing will not help either. In fact if your car gets fast enough to actually make a wing do it's job, it would be counter productive on our cars. Pushing the rearend down at speed lightens the front end, where your drive wheels are. I'm with everyone else; if you want performance: engine, suspension, weight reduction. If you just want to look fast: body kit.

*edit* - Just saw you're out in Roswell. You should be able to do some great photo shoots out there. I was in Vegas over the summer and took a few drives out into the desert. Lots of beautiful scenery out there to use as a background. Made me wish I'd taken my coupe instead of flying and getting a rental.

Not in some cases. C-WEST body kits help in performance. they have been tested on a track. the ones you buy for $300 arent going to help anything. C-WEST kits are really expensive.
