Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    side markers

    hey guys this is to yall that has sidemarkers on the car, whether it came with them or u put them on. are they supposed to be on when the lights are on? or when u put on ur turn signal? i just put some on my car and they stay on when i turn on my lights and they flash when i use my sigs. if they are not supposed to be on with the lights please tell me what u did to stop it from happening. thanks

    The real "JDM" way is for them to come on just when the turn signals are on. But I have them the same way you have them and like it better that way.

      how to

      they are kinda cool but if i could i'd rather them on when i turn on my signals. do u know how to change it over? im thinking i might need to put a relay on them.

          yeah, either order them from ebay, from a seller in the classifieds, or you could install sidemarkers that aren't stock, from another car or aftermarket.

          splice the wires to your bumper lenses if you want them to blink, or from the bulb that blinks in the corner lamps.

            Nice i know about those DIY Threads but i didn't really know where to buy the sidemarkers!

            but yeah this is gonna be a soon Mod to my car!

            i might just buy some from somebody on cb7tuner or something i guess

              What customchord said is correct. In Japan, they only light up when the signal. It is NOT supposed to be constantly lit. However, it does look better with them on IMO. It really stands out at night.

              What you want to do to have it stay on:
              - First locate the two 194 bulbs behind the corner light lense. One stays constantly on and blinks, the other just stays on.

              - Look for the one that blinks. Test this buy turning on your headlights and signaling. You may want to mark/tape that set of wires.

              - Connect it to the sidemarkers, heatstrink, electric tape and re-install.

                Ebay is roughly the same as someone on CB7. Unless someone is selling some on the board for $20 shipped, I'd prefer to go ebay... you'll get it fairly new and/or have insurance. Make sure it says Stanley. Those are the authentic ones.

                    may be i asked my question wrong yes they do stay on when i turn on my lights, and the blink also when i use my sig. what i want is for them to only come on when i use my sigs or hazards, not with my lights. so do u think i might need a relay switch

                      wire it to your signal/bumper light

                        wont it stay on like it does now i mean when u turn on ur lights they all light up. i could be wrong but it sounds like it doesnt matter where i connect their gonna lite up when i turn on my lights. there is a constant 12v power source. i need a connect that only use power when my sigs or hazs are on. thanks anyway.

                          no it shouldn't...I had mine hook up the "signal bumper" light..
                          it only turn on when I hit signal...

                          other than that it doesn't matter if you turn on your light..it won't go on..

                            ^x2 The bumper light only comes on with the signal, they are not a constant 12v source.
