as soon as i get my experience down with making cf parts then i'll holla at ya, it'll be exspensive for me to do it but not as much as companys sells them for..... i've been lookin into cf parts for years now and only have hood and trunk. could've got my fenders but the place was playin with me so i got my refund. starting next month i'll start making a cf roof. i've study on how cf parts are made and most of them, not all, are overlay on fiberglass. i know someone who makes fiberglass and waiting on him to teach me the basics on it or just make the parts. i'll also be making oem cf fenders over the summer. i've been in a autobody class in college for sometime now so it aint hard for me to spray clear coat and i use the exspensive stuff so it wont faid. so, as soon as i get my experience down, i'll start producing cf parts for everyone.

The expense of making full carbon fiber fenders wouldnt be worth the time which is why they are almost all CF over FG. Many of the parts can be make yourself with time and money. And lots and lots of time! Ive been working on my engine bay forever and probably have well over 100 hours into it.

your right. doin it both ways will weigh about the same so weight difference doesnt matter in that situation.

I should be done with it this weekend just need to wetsand and buff the drivers side and cut suspension holes. ive decided not to do the firewall at this time but may in the long future if my motor comes out again.

Hoods, lips, and spoilers are everywhere.

There WAS a big group-buy for some trunks awhile back...dont know where they went or who still has one. There are a few members around that have CF trunks. $700 sounds like a bit much, but then again, it is a pretty rare piece.

Seen the fenders but that was years ago, and apparently theyve halted production, so..

Ive also seen CF gas doors. Real and overlays. Im pretty sure StickyDilJoe had a real one, didnt he Again, finding a real one will be harder.

I wanna say ive also seen CF doors.... Mightve just been a dream or idea in some magazine add or something.

I think a hood, lip(s) and spoiler are about the extent of the CF-ness id go. Yeah, it cuts the weight, but its pricey...

a dream like i had lol .. cf doors are only made for a few selective cars. which are the "popular" cars.

Well, maybe not a dream, but probably other cars and i was wishing they made them for our accords.

I know they made/make them for like 350z's and the silvia/240's...

They are cool and all but do you really want to get t-boned with a little bit of fiberglass and CF between you and a car? I wouldnt mind my rear doors but ill keep my metal front doors no matter how in love with carbon fiber i am!

true. i'll only do it if i have a roll cage with a slanted bar or more between the driver and the door. lol

Thanx for the GREAt info. but still it doesn't look like anyboyd can find these parts. everryone seems to know they exsist but just can't find them.
Like I said before, i found the fenders, for 300+. The SLR CF over lays. But I suppsoe it is possbile they are out fo stock and they are just too lazy to take that part of their web site
And weight saving is just one of the reasons why I, we want the CF parts. Alos due to how we like the look of CF plus the fact that they will NEVER RUST. And here in NY that IS a problem.
And also, on the comment about not wanting the CF door to to the lack of protection. I know the simple thought of that thin weave between you and the car coming at you, but I thought CF was lighter and stronger than metal. I've seen pics were people have run over their CF hoods without a dent. But I have also seen pics where people CF hood came damaged in the mail, but that could be a whole different story their. DHL UPS they throw their stuff all around and not care what poking out of the box.
And heres a pic of the trunk lid I foudn for 700+. Is it really a VIS? And why doesn't it look like it finished at the bottom? Are they all like that??

there's is finish at the bottom (from what i've seen) of the vis trunk but i got mine for hella cheaper than that. go to streetconcept.com for the trunk or VIS, only 2 websites i know of. u could find them but u gotta search like we did ..... where did u find the fenders at?
