ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I'm replacing exterior parts of my accord

I got into a car accident and it left the front of my car damaged. The hood, fender, headlight, and bumper were all damaged. I went to a junkyard and priced out the parts I will be replacing.

The question I have is regarding the level of difficulty involved in removing parts from a car's body. Is this a very involved process that will require mechanical knowledge? What type of tools should I use to pull the parts off the Accord at the junkyard.
Previous owner was in an accident and changed the hood and fender to white.

fender is easy...just bout 5-6 bolts...maybe more, but not hard...the only thing that is gon take any amount of time is the bumper...but there are diys all over the site on bumper/headlight removal....

all you should need is wrenches and ratchets

All the front end sheet metal is pretty easy to replace as it unbolts with simple tools to come off. Nothing that a Haynes manual couldn't help you to take off. You'll have to Make adjustments to get the hood right, but that's just a matter of tightening and losening and adjusting until it looks right and sits level with the fenders on all 4 corners.

just get your servants and the flower bearers to do all the work. sorry "Coming to America" was one of my favorite movies back in the early 90s.

yeah really all you need are a full set of sockets, wrenches and extensions. i've got my bumper off right now still from installing fog lights and replacing my head lights since one had a hole in it. on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the hardest, i'd have to say this was a 6 only because some of the screws/bolts are in a hidden area.

In the pictures you can see where the radiator got pushed in. Do you think the replacement hood will fit directly on or will some adjusting to the frame or radiator support will be necessary.
