ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Interior Materials 90 vs 91

I have a 91EX, and I notice when I'm in the junkyard that some of the interiors of the 90's are noticeably different than my 91. Even if it's the same color interior, the material is different on the upholstery (some look tweed, while my 91's looks more velvety). Even the material on the door panels is a different texture (more tweedish) on the 90's.

Other than that, the only other thing I THINK I've noticed is body color. THe 90 cbs that are black are more of a muted metalic black. The 91's I've seen are a more true and deep gloss black. Can't say as much for the other colors, but also I think some colors were omitted on the 91's vs. the 90's, and new ones added. Can't specify which though, off hand.

Oh yeah, and there's also the different heater knob controls (most 91's I've seen have the rotating knobs, and I think I've seen the 90's with the sliders). I could be wrong on that though.

Oh yeah, one more thing, not all clocks are the same. I had two different clocks at one point and tried to interchange panel parts; they were not exactly the same.

Another thing I've noticed, not sure what goes to what year, but the stock EX rims: there are at least two different OEM style EX rims that look 95% similar, but are not actually the same. One has a more angular spoke pattern, while the other appears more square. Wish I had pics.

My 93 LX used to have a maroon automatic shift handle... And Prez808 has a blue one (I'm pretty sure he does, anyway).

best way to know is to check for the date stamped on the seat belt.

mine says Oct 1989, the plastic parts in the car also have 89 tacked on it

True it's blue, but I have a 92(hey that rhymed!). I don't know about the 93's not having color matched shift handles in the automatics. I don't doubt it, but don't ever recall seeing it.

I think with 90-91 frost white cars, if it has the burgundy interior it's a 1990 model, if the interior is blue, it's a 1991.

Also 1991 wagons have a unique front bumper. It did not look like the 90-91 sedan front end. 92-93 wagons look similar to the sedan bumpers of the same years.

Blizz, not everyone has the luxury of having an 89 CB7...

            Mike thanks for the corrections.

I didnt know there was a 93 DX...

I saw a 9293 the other day that had a "Special Edition" piece on the trunk, and it had arcadia mouldings, but it wasnt an SE

It lacked leather INT and had the "fat" 6-spoke wheels...

The tail lights are the same for '90-'91 and then diff from the '92-'93's

That was the 93 10th Anniversary Edition. Essentially an LX with EX coupe alloys, EX front lip, and rear disc/abs. It only came in green/black/white, had painted moldings, grey interior and only came in automatic. It had the F22a1.
