ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    I Need A Shift Boot

My stock shift boot was too old and ripped, so i bought a universal one from autozone. After i took the old one off, the universal will not even fill the gap and it look UGLY. I searched and saw a lot of members are using an ITR or CTR shift boot.

    1. Is the ITR/CTR shift boot a direct bolt in swap ???
    2. Can someone give me directions on how to make it fit ??

    Thanks in advance...

Yeah the ITR boot fits as do a lot of other shift boots. I have a universal Vibrant boot and I think the one you have should fit...it's a pain in the ass to make it fit perfectly, it takes a lot of patience to get it right, did you remove the whole center console? All the plastic that covers the e-brake has to be removed, all of it...that's why it's a pain in the ass, but you have to remove everything

anouther option would be to just find an upholstery show and for a few bucks they can make you one. you will just need to bring in whats left of your old one.. i had this done for my old civic and laser. then your not stuck with an off the shelf boot. i think i paid 10 bucks for both of mine.. but just an idea

i have an 91 EX 5 speed with auto seat belts so my e-brake console is seperate from my shift console. i removed the whole shifter console from the car, unscrewed my old shift boot from the bottom, removed the shift boot from the metal rings.

        1. Do i need to reuse my metal rings with the ITR shift boot or just install the ITR shift boot by its self ???

        Thanks in advance...
