Man, I'm sorry to hear that Nate... I've had my dog for about a year and a half now (he was abandoned on the streets of my town... my wife found him and brought him home). He's probably about halfway through his expected life, which gives him another 6-7 quality years, hopefully. I couldn't imagine losing him though. I've lost pets in the past, when I was much younger, and it hurts like hell.

Pets really are a part of the family. Dogs especially are so affectionate. I'm constantly comparing my 7 year old chihuahua to my 2 year old nephew

i've had two dogs that passed away, one German Shepard named Junior and a black labrador named Frisky.

Junior was my favorite, always came when i called him and he always slept on the floor next to my bed. i remember bringing him home one day after seeing an ad in the paper about a free dog. this couple said they found him under their car after a hard downpour of rain.

Frisky, was my older brother's dog, well our first pet from when we moved into this house.

yeah after having these guys around for so long you treat them like family, so once they passed away, it's only appropriate to be emotional.

i just hope they are running around having fun in doggy heaven.

I know exactly what it feels like to lose a good dog. When I was 8 my first boxer died, he was 10yrs old at the time and had heart worms.

So we then got another boxer which is now 12yrs old and is deaf. He still acts like he feels fine and he seems to move around just fine, but 12 is old for his size and breed.

I know what you are going through man. my dog died yesterday and I am still in shock, he quit eatting and when we took him to the vet he collasped and died right there. He had kidney failure from what the vet said and his heart stopped so I like lost because he was my best friend.

haha I needed a good laugh.

We have 4 other dogs, but that one was mine. It's just not the same without him. He was my best friend. I'm just really glad I had a chance to say goodbye.

WOW! Sorry to hear that. I know how you feel, I had a white lab 14yrs old and it damn near killed me when I had to put her down.( Her hips were shot due to her age, it hurt her to walk up stairs. ) Sorry for the loss.

thats why i never owned a dog i cant get over the fact that they live so short and when they die makes it feel like it was your own son or something

Not my fault my dick only fits magnums.
Why drink and drive when you can smoke and FLY?

Sorry to hear about your dog bro.It really sucks to lose them. But lemme say this at least you got to say goodbye to him. I lost my golden retriever this past summer.Dad let him out and forgot about him.About 30 mins later he remembered that he left him out there.but my dog was no where to be found.I spent 2 weeks posting flyers and spending about 150 on gas driving around looking for him.Hardest part is not knowing where he is.Again tho sorry about your loss, those labs are wonderful dogs.
