Sad birthday for me.......

Earlier today around 3:00, my dog died. He was a full breed chocolate lab that we got from pilot dogs.
I've had him since I was in grade school.

I was fortunate enough to be able to say goodbye. Right before I left for school, I was on my way out when something told me to say goodbye to him (not just a normal goodbye, but a final goodbye). I ended up sitting there for about 5mins with him.
I won't forget the face he gave me on my way out. It was as if he was trying to goodbye also.
I had to go to school to take an exam which I couldn't concentrate on because all I was thinking about was my dog. Right when I finished my exam, I received a call from my sister telling me that my dog died.

Were not sure what exactly happened. For the past few days, he wasn't feeling well. He was in really bad shape today. My dad made an appointment today to get him checked out around 4:20.

It sucks.....I'm going to miss him alot. He was such a great dog.

im sorry to hear that man i know how you feel cause i lost my dog that i grew up with about a year ago it weird but mainly sad cause you get to see them before they pass away i remember the day my dog died she was a SHIBA INU japanese dog i saw here before i left my house and she looked sick also and i came back about 3 hours ago and she passed away on her bed in her sleep it was a sad day for me also so i know how it feels to lose a dog

damn dude, that really sucks. I've had a pet die, it really fucking sux. I had a 6 month old lab/german shepherd mix. she died from polio, or w/e that disease is called. she was my first pet ever and i had her since her birth, and I still miss her to this day. i know what you're going through, and im truly sorry.

Sorry about your loss, labs are some of the best dogs imo. It's always hard losing a great animal like that, especially when you're losing a member of the family....

Sorry to hear about your loss. I know how your feeling. My family had a cat for 19 years. My parents had him a year before I was born and he had to be put down a little more then 2 and a half years ago. Was the hardest thing that I have ever witnessed. I was in the room when they did it so it was kind of nice to be there with him until the end.

My family now has a Lab/Sharpei mix and we see so many traits of our cat in him (the dog) that it is scary. It is always hard with something like the loss of a pet but life goes on and they are in a better place.

Im sorry!

Sad i know. We put our beloved bassett hound of 12 years to sleep this june and it still isnt the same without her tail thumping every time i walk in the house. It takes a while to adjust but nothing can replace the memories you have with them! Hang in there!

im really sorry man.my dog died wen we gave it to a farm for some weird reason.i felt real badd.thats y i dont like animals that much;their like humans,but if a shorter life expancy wich suks really badd.wen u lose him u lose a chunk of ur heart

Yea dude, sorry to hear that. My dog died just last year. He was a black Lab, and we have had him since i was one (so he was 16 when he died) it was pretty sad, but at least I got to say goodbye.

hey man i am very sorry as well. A good dog, especially a lab/retriever, is so easy to be a friend, because they are so loyal friendly and feel like a member of the family. I truly feel your pain.... I hope the grieving process doesn't cause too much pain.

sorry for your loss man, ive had that happen to me too many times, ive had 3 dogs die in the past 10 years

on halloween night, some kids playing with firecrackers opend my back yard's gate and let my dog out and threw firecrackers at her, she got scared and ran into the street...you know what happend

one of my dogs my dad was taking for a walk, she drank some water from a stream near a local lake, water was poisoned, took the dog to the vet, he said he could treat her now, but hes closing soon so he put her in a kennel in his shop, in the morning she was gone

and my last dog had epilepsy and had to be put down
