getting my big ole rattler back

earlier this year, i traded off my 5.5ft female timber rattler......that was stupid.....so tomorrow, i'm getting her and another big male timber and i'm gonna give the guy a bunch of my copperheads.....like, 10 of them.....so i'll have less mouths to feed, and more rattlers.......this bitch is a MEAN snake, i'm sure she'd love to kill me, but she's large and if she dropped 10 babies next year, that would be between $500-$800 extra.....

here is an older pic of her:

eeeeek!!!! for some reason i lifted my feet off the ground when i realized the head was in the front..... that picture is life size!!!

    instictual reactions are funny

but yeah... i want a snake. there's a snake ranch like 10 minutes from my house... i might go check it out sometime...

i caught a gopher snake one time... almost ran it over, but i swerved. went to catch it and took it back to job place and let it loose...

of course, i recaptured it though.... i ended up giving it to a friend.
    R.I.P.

snakes are clean, easy to care for, tough and 100% unique.......and no, that's not life size, that's about 1/3 size......i'll post a vid up tomorrow because i'm sure she'll be pissy, and she's intimidating even to me, and i've been keeping venomous snakes for 6 years, snakes for 20......she's evil

Damn that is a huge snake man, I would have been intimidated by it also.

Snakes are bitchin' but there's something about keeping a highly venomous and highly aggressive snake in my house that kinda unnerves me.

Copperheads in my living room? Yikes, don't think so.

Major kudos to you for having balls though.

copperheads arent really agressive at all. more like: "ill like you until you step on me. then its your ass."

rattlesnakes? im sure they're pissy all the time. ESPECAILLY in captivaty. think about it. their kind gets killed every summer just so some bastards can have fun. i dont think its right in any shape or form.

but anyways. ive always wanted a rattler but i dont want to keep any venomous snakes. unless it was a king cobra lol

copperheads are some of the more "aggresively defensive" snakes there are......they're not deadly to the average person, they usually don't get larger than 3ft, and they are more widespread.....humans are scarier to them and they know they aren't capable of killing something that big.....it's like "little man syndrome", small guys are born ready to fight because they're genetically fucked and they may not be able to retaliate when a big guy gets ahold of them

as for rattlers, there are so many species that are totally different you can't really label them one way or the other.....most western diamondbacks are pissy.....most eastern diamondbacks are pissy but less defensive and more "what the fuck are you doing".....most timbers are easy going.....most south american rattlers are easy going.....etc......you have to take it one animal at a time....i have a 4' copperhead that is as laid back as anything....i had a 2' copperhead who was satan......animals are like people, too many factors to label them
