San Antonio: Need Lock-Up Solenoid quick!

    Hey y'all,

Anyone have a lock-up solenoid they are interested in selling? Honda wants $250+ for it, and junkyard isn't sure they have one, and I don't have much spare time. Here's a picture:

I know this doesnt help, but you could do a 5spd conversion for about that

Pick'N'Pull off Applewhite road. You think U-pull-it is better?

I really appreciate all the help guys. I ended up buying one from Honda for $189.70. I put it in tonight, and the car worked great, until just a second ago when I was on my way home from dinner.

Dang it! Now I'm back to square one! The S light flashes 7 times, which tells me that Shift Solenoid A is malfunctioning. SS A is what I just paid $189.70 for this afternoon!

            What else could be wrong?

Check the wiring? Make sure the plug is in. There are a few things to look at if the sensor doesnt do it. Damn I cant believe you paid that! Shoulda went to a jyard lol. Oh well I would check the wiring and see if they are sending the proper voltages. Or I would just reset the ECU first and see if that helps it. Hows your ATF level?

It's been a long week. I didn't feel like digging through junkyard cars.

I want to do this, too. Can I just use a voltmeter? I tried one I borrowed from Autozone, but I couldn't figure out how to use it. What specifically do I need to do?

I'm going to look at both of these issues tomorrow.

                Nail, thanks bro.

                  SHIT! (Sorry)

I replaced the wrong part. I replaced the lock-up solenoid when I should have replaced the shift solenoid. No wonder it's still not working. There went $187.90

So sorry guys; I will pick up the right part and throw it in, then get back to you.
