I need an H22 tranny

What's up my dudes. Mane after changing the timing belt the engine seemed to survive the previous belt snapping. On the engine side everything is a go. Two days after driving the car the transmission locked up on me on the way home that day. I could bearly get the car in 2nd and 4th just to get the car home. 1st, 3rd, and 5th are gone. Then it was stuck in reverse and that was it. I couldn't shift through any gears anymore. The shifter is stuck. The tranny is shot and I need to find a new one pretty soon. It has to be an H22 tranny not from a SH type though so it will bolt up. In good shape. No grinding. I already made some calls but, please keep an eye out for me. If you come by anything good, let me know. Car is down till then. This blows...

I have a m2a4 with ~ 60k miles grinds no grinds, an m2y4 with over 100k miles shifts well through all the gears by hand, and a m2b4 (lsd tranny) with no grinds except a little one going into reverse. take your pick!

m2s4 it! H23 manual trans is what I ran and they are pretty easy to find. Its similarly geared to the USDM H22 trans but a bit less aggressive (need to look at ratios again to confirm). Did my research before. Its more aggressive than the JDM trans if thats what your lookin for. The only thing is that it lacks is an LSD.

I need a tranny badly but I absolutely cannot deal with any grinding. I would love to get LSD with this tranny but we will see. Thanks for the PM ThrakBarts. Keep me posted if you find anything.

Are you serious? my m2a4 doesn't grind. the m2b4 only grinds if you try to slam it into reverse quickly. I have never driven with the m2y4 so I don't know.

Good luck finding anyone to sell you a transmission that they personally have installed, removed, and driven for such low prices here in texas. Craigslist, ebay, and engine distributors will lie to you and tell you their used transmission doesn't grind, and you will believe them until you install it and find that you have been swindled. H series transmissions eventually all have problems with the 5th/reverse grinding unless they are rebuild. If you want a new tranny, rebuild yours or buy a new one from honda. This is so typical; I offer honest and unbiased reviews of my own parts and i get the "we will see". You must not really need a tranny, so call me when you do. Peace.

It's OK bro. Take it easy. I just like to know every detail before I throw down some cash like dat. I know what you mean about finding good trannys. They are hard to find. Maybe we could work out something? LSD sounds nice though.

Wow...Let me know courtney Ill try to look for one out of my schedule. The people I have dealt with have not given me a shitty trans yet. I am pretty sure Justin can help you out too. The problem is it will take me a while since I have to compete with my schedule man.

Quaife LSD now

What's up guys I have great news. I have a new tranny now. It is an M2F4 tranny from a running 99 Prelude. It also has Qualife LSD already installed! The only reason the guy sold it is because he is putting his H22 in his EG hatch for his H2B swap. My friends from Concept Racing hooked me up with the sweet deal. He also had other goodies laying around. I will let you know how eveything goes.
