Your tip was extremely useful. I spent more than an hour my first attempt because the damn control arm studs kept falling in. The wood trick worked extremely well - 20 minutes done. Thank you for that!

The structure damage must be relatively minor. I definitely had to do some pulling to fit the bar, but it wasn't too major.
