The tax portion on your cars value is what doubles. Old cars aren't worth much, so the tax increase is minimal, but if you drive a newer luxury car you're fucked.

failed putting on my steering wheel.

problem, the splines were a lil too big and the way the hub sat when i put the bolt onto the steering colum mounted like shit. it was all wobbly.

i contacted the seller, so we'll see what happens.

The increase was for cars registered after May 26th I think. I paid about $78 for the TL this year (after increase) and $116 for the SC (before increase). I think the tax rate went from .65% to 1.15% of the DMV's determined value of your car (The numbers might not be right, but its somewhere in that range).
