5w30, i burn a quarter of a quart every 1500 miles. So when I buy 5 quarts, the 5th bottle is enough to top off the CB for the change and the time between oil changes. I burned a lot less oil when I used amsoil.

buy another motor.

if your too broke to go h22, then buy an h23 non-vtec

in the long run itll be better. if you car keeps burning oil like that you'd either consider an overhaul or just a block with better miles.

So that's a half a quart every 3000 miles. Not bad IMO.

You change you oil every 1500 miles or 3000? Half a quart between oil changes is pretty normal if you ask me. Thats about the same as my H22. Same as my F22 was too I think. But that engine had some seals that needed to be changed, like the oil pan gasket.

i thought it was normal to burn a little oil between oil changes lol. It never goes past the last hole on the dipstick, I just notice it gets close and I just top it off. I do always gun the car when entering freeways, only way she'll make it is getting her near 6-7k rpm.

I'm just going to do what everyone else does and drive it till it dies and then swap :]

I change my oil every 3-4k. When I had a leak from my balance shaft/cam, I was leaking out about a quart between oil changes.

I know some people will say buying RP for my sohc f22 is a waste of money, but I dont believe in cheaping out for the blood of my car and I dont find spending the extra $15-20 a big deal.
