I thought it was my camber but the old man today showed me how the measurements changed when i sat in the car. It didnt change much, but the settings changed to a point where the toe was off because it was originally set to zero with no one in it.

I know its confusing, seriously i thought i understood alignments because i would always read the computer printout and go ok, this is the before specs and these are the completed specs, but with him he was explaining things in mm, which made a little sense but most of the time i was like WTF..
Okay, well it makes sense the specs will change with the extra weight in the car.

I used to have problems with tires cupping on me. It happened with stock tires at stock height, and it also happened on my current suspension. The problem for me was under inflated tires, which was due to a very inaccurate pressure gauge that was off by 5 to 10psi. It took years for me to find this out, until I bought a couple different new tire gauges.

well, when you track you car, you want it to be at zero toe for the best response. but daily driving, you would want it to be more toed in. usually more on the fron and less on the rear so this way your car can go straighter and feel more comfertable daily driving. the stupid ASE tests want you to set everything at 0 toe (which is the proper way of doing it), but for a daily, it's ok. when you talk about mm, that is very old school and if you know how to read alignments by mm in the front and rear of the tire, you can basically do alignments at home using a measurement tape. you still won't be dead on, but you will be very very close. hahaha. and I wanna smoke what that old man is smokin.

Yes he asked me what I used my car for so I told him this is my daily and wanted longevity out of my tires. All in all the guy knew his shiet, as well as the rest of the staff, its crazy how all their bays were filled up by 8am.

Donno the technical stuff, I use the john beam aligment rack, whenever I do alignment, I always leave some toe out in the front about .05 degree, and toe in on the rear about .1 degree, my camber is about 1.8 to 2 degree all around. I tried all zeros, but it never last long before I get pulls, this setup I have right now last me around 3 month, consider I have worn tie rods, ball joints and bushing in the front,

That's amusing cuz I was just going to see if anyone could recommend a good shop for lowered cars......

honestly, alignments are pretty straight up if you know what toe, caster, camber means. (that's just the basic). any shop can do it, but, it's the alignment rack for our lowered cars that matters. heck, when tim brought his girl's car over for me to do, it barely made it up there. scraping too. even with my car. so I would suggest bring your car to a shop that has a rack that will fit our loowered car to. like the one craig suggested, and the one jed did.

^ yeah that was a crazy time getting her car up there. with coilovers the car barely squats with weight so i'm not too worried about it's alterantion when the driver is sitting inside. what about gas in the tank? shouldn't that be taken into consideration as well?

This place has only one frame rack, the rest are racks you drive onto. These are ground level So you can have a slammed car while they work on your car inside a pit.

Yes i always align my car with a full tank of gas. You basically do the same adjustments when you align your car Timmy. But yea they are located in San Diego so that's kind of a trek for you.. I know Ricardo also has a highly reputable alignment guy.. I got recommended by Tyrone aka Fobtions so you know its good..

Yes they had an old school Road Race/SCCA 914 Porsche sitting in one of their bays, so they align basically everything. And for once Wilson aka Captain Obvious is wrong, because the guy doesn’t smoke.

I have a guy who aligns the DB8. His shop is right next to Raceline. He also aligns Elton's time attack cars. He's legit.
