Anyone have any good resources for new catalytic converters? 196K on the stock one is not cutting it... I could take the one from the parts car, but its got just about the same amt in mileage I believe. I might as well get a new one installed.
haha yeah the wu-tang sign is pretty funny but i guess it's only on CBs. anywho paul i'm running a highflow from magnaflow, complete bolt-on but i'm afraid that it might not be enough to knock down those numbers. i believe craig is running a CATCO as david is pointing out which worked for him.
I have the same one. I wouldn't get this one Paul. The smog guy who passed my H22 said it was already showing signs it was going out, which, according to him they are only good for 2 years anyways. He had to keep my idle raised at 3K and hold it there for several seconds right before doing the test. If he let my car idle for just a few seconds the cat would actually cool down! Which resulted in worse smog numbers.

Yeah, very cleanly too. Test results were better than my F22. But like I mentioned, he had to keep the idle up to 3k because as soon as he let it idle the smog numbers would jump way up to gross polluter levels. That cat would not stay hot at all.
