I'm thinking about buying another car, but I have no idea what to get right now. I'm looking for an awd or rwd sedan with a decent amount of luxury. The oldest I'd want the car to be is a 2001. I'm probably not going to be the only person driving the car, so it has to be somewhat practical. The MPG will effect my decision since gas is getting expensive. I'd like something that gets good gas mileage, so 18mpg minimum. What car do you guys think would suit my preferences?

Perhaps a E46 BMW 3-series? They can be had for well under $15,000.
If you're open to front drive, I found my dad a 2005 TSX 6MT about 5 months ago. It was $12,500 after a lot of price haggling, and the car is better than my Accord in every way I can think of. My best tank has been 34.7 mpg, although it requires premium fuel. My leadfoot dad averages 28 mpg on his daily commute.

Had/worked with a 2000 330I and I never plan on going through that again.
The TSX is a nice car, but it is not really what I'm looking for right now.

In that case, I'd recommend exactly what Wilson did. Legacy 2.5GT, Impreza WRX/STI, then Lancer Evolution. If you don't like that perhaps an Infiniti G35, Audi A4?
