Friendly competition would be cool, but the challenge was issued without any interest on the part of the so-cal guys. If both crews were interested, it would be a really cool idea.

Gerald, I swear, you're more bent out of shape about Joey never winning AoM than he is. I don't think he really cares. The votes aren't fixed, and every time he's been in the running, he's gotten MANY votes. So he didn't win... so what. I have no beef with him. The mods have no beef with him. I don't think he has beef with us. There's no friction there... yet you drop his name every time you feel the need to attack the site. You broke the rules in his name (which got you a 3 day ban, instead of the permanent ban that SHOULD have been issued). It's all good to stand up for a friend, but hell... it's over man.

What some people say on this site and what others actually think are two different things. Some guys don't speak out 'cause the mods will over-ride your freedom of speech with the notorious "BAN" banner. Fuck that. I call a spade a spade. All I ask is how can you make a site better by picking a random member, and trying to humuliate him by making him a feature car? They do that shit in the movies with the prom king thing...it's just pretty childish IMO. I lost a lot of respect for anyone and everyone involved in the whole thing.
You say that you're attacking the haters on the site...how? Rather than trying to be kind and polite, you're trying to show off? What does that achieve? I don't see how using another member's car and claiming that its better than the rest isn't hating on your part?
As far as I'm concerned everyone on this site is equal, and the love for the car should overrule all. Apparently you disagree. If that's your perrogative, maybe this site isn't a good fit for you.Comment

You broke the rules. The rules state that a ban will be issued. It's not personal, though you seem to think it is. Freedom of speech is fine. We've never banned anyone for speaking their mind, as long as it's not an attack on another member. When you manipulate the AoM competition, that's another story. The reason we didn't have the competition for so long was because we were afraid of people fixing it, just like that. We never thought anyone would be so low as to make it an attack against an individual member... just thought it would be to get themselves or their friends as AoM.
What you did was dishonorable. What you did was low. The reason why the ban was so short is that it would be rather unfair to completely remove you, and not do anything to the others involved. It's also impossible to tell who was part of your scam, and who was legit... it's not worth it to assume and be wrong, even for one person... so we went easy.
When you want to prove a point, punching the first stranger you see isn't the way to do it. If you want people to stop thinking Joey is an arrogant prick, stop doing stuff like this in his name. I'm beginning to think that people's impression of HIM is really an impression of his followers.
