Check the cable then. Mine got caught on the radio harness and never moved all the way.

If you move the intake piping under the hood and move the knob you can see the valve open and close near the firewall. If it doesn't move then you have a problem.

Nory, there is a valve located where Long said, for a temporary fix, you can move the valve I think the other direction I forget which way about 90 degrees. don't go towards the firewall though, come towards you about 90 degrees the other direction that the valve is facing. hopefully that works. funny thing is, I did the same shit to mine.

i've been fucking with my car trying to get rid of my cel's. so far ive eliminated the issue with the barometeric pressure sensor (code 13).

could someone who has done the h23 intake manifold swap and wired up the IAB box give me the wiring for it again so i can double check to make sure its right, i had it saved in my PMs but i deleted it.

so once this is fixed i can get my smog done and get it registered... ive only got another week.

alright i got the electrical gremlins from hell. if anyone can help me ill keep the car. if not im selling it.

when i turn the key to the first switch, my parking lights trigger like i put them on which i didnt.

gremlin 2
my open trunk door light is on, like it indicates that my trunk is open when it isnt.

gremlin 3
the radiator fans are not triggering like its supposed to when it reaches a certain temp. (joesue had to by pass it and keep them on)

my winshield wipers only work on medium and high, but not in INT

gremlin 5
my power door locks only unlock. they do not lock.

last but not least and my most recent encounter....

sounds like a bad contact in your switch, try a new one

-check relays for lights, check alarm(if you have one tapped to the lights).

gremlin 2
-check sensor switch in trunk.

gremlin 3
-check/replace fan switch timer/relay.

gremlin 4
-check/replace wiper switch/relay.

gremlin 5
-broken gear/switch actuator inside the drivers door. replace or McGuyver it.

gremlin 6
-check/replace flasher relay.. (might be related to gremlin 1 & 2)

Well my trunk indicator light, and doors open light, basically all the little red lights on the little car on the dash, come on for no damn reason, sporadically from time to time, then go out. Sometimes when they are on the brightness dimms. Some times they won't come on for a month, then they come on every day. It's just loony.

jed: only the headlights and my hornet alarm. This didnt happen to my car until after my car got painted, so im guessing something shorted it.

jed: not disconnected, i havnt tried the trigger--how would i fix that? it used to flicker here and there now its just a solid red light.

my question is.... how would i know if a relay is bad with out just buying one? anyone have a coupe that i can temporarly switch things over to test if they are fine?

check the contact points and clean it. overspray might have gotten to it when you had the car painted.. on second thought, i would personally check each and every switch/sensors and wires that has any signs of overspray or not properly re-installed.

my question is.... how would i know if a relay is bad with out just buying one? anyone have a coupe that i can temporarly switch things over to test if they are fine?

though switching in a good one works.. easiest way is if you know how to use a multi tester..

thanks joesue. i know your labor isnt free, but if i can narrow it down it'll be easier for the both of us.

heres what i found out.

my 15amp fuse for the interior light in the engine bay is busted. i replaced it and it fixed gremlins 2 & 4 (please see gremlins guide on my first post to know what gremlins it is). but the fuse keeps popping. i open my door and close it, the fuse pops. on ignitionII the fuse pops.

if i can find out whats overloading the fuse and get it working then ill be able to fix the trunklight and windshield problem.

any suggestions? thanks.
