wuts up guys i havent posted in this thread for a minute. i wanted to see if i could get my name up on the IE members list at the beginin of the thread. My names andrew.
so anyway, yesterday at work i had to work on this stupid ass 06 Vdub Jetta. SHITHOLE OF A CAR! I did 4 components (w/tweets) in all 4 doors, a 2ch amp and a 4 ch, they kept their factory stereo so we had to do line out converters... just a shitty day. ontop of that the phone was ringing every 2 min, customers between every other phone call. after 3 hours all i had gotten done was running a power wire through the firewall and had the radio out... 3hrs! thats only 15 min of work done! it sucked, the whole day continued like that. i opened at 9:45 and didnt get off work til 7:30!!! the car wasnt even done when i left. they finally finished it at 10! they called me to tell me on friday it was rescheduled to come in and i had to rewire it ALL! but those idiots didnt look at the schedule cuz my ass is off friday! haha. but on the dark side of that ive been designated 06 jetta installer in the bay cuz im the only one that knows how they come apart now! i hate VDUBS! fuckin german engineering needs to take it down a peg or 2.
anyways enough rant from me... i wanna come to a meet with u guys sometime... if we can plan it far enough ahead of time i can get down on it... i gotta have like at least 3 weeks (the further in advance the better!) notice on a date.
i put a remote start in my cb7 last week... its sooo sweet i love it (minus the fact that my best friend cracked my windshield trying to mount the antenna where i wanted it, the one part of the alarm/start i didnt do and he broke something).
my fiberglass project for my trunk is on hold til funds increase. its gonna cost me 1grand for all the equipment plus about another 2-300 on materials and tools. but when its done, its gonna POUND and look sick! if you wanna check it out so far hit up my car domain link below, its page 7,8 and 9 i beleive, but you can look at all of em if u want.

haha, we know about the double sided tape... thats how we mounted it, but! i wanted it placed behind my mirror on the windshield so it was less noticeable... well his dumbass decided to use my panel popper to attempt to pry down the headliner so he could stick the wires in......... welll.... long story short, he shouldve never done that, he SHOULD have unscrewed the screws in the driver side visor and he wouldve been fine. im not making him pay for it cuz thats fucked up of me. it was an accident and hes like a brother to me, plus he gives me free shit alllllllll the time and lets me borrow unused equipment. so its all good. anyway... so now its mounted where he wanted to place it originally right next to the a pillar.
ya i know euro cars suck... vacuum locks.. all that bs.... german engineering is great... for the ENGINE! make everything else simple... the door had rivets holding the woofer speaker in the doors. so we just took drill bits and popped them bitches out lol. i HATE VW!
