The reason you're still smelling smoke is because of your trunk. Since the trunk isn't as heavy or OE, the sides of the trunk by the lights don't seal completely because that portion of the trunk is actually hollow. Plus the rubber seal around the trunk is gone. You smell fumes because the fumes get into the trunk and ultimately inside the cabin....

i was thinking that too, BUT i did put my back seats it didnt do anyhelp.. Plus it smells even stronger when i open my windows.. so i dont know whats worse.. opening my windows or closing my trunk.

I have rear seats and my shit smells like gas too.....that and I'm running a pretty rich P28 program so I run rich anyway, it just doesn't help that my trunk doesn't seal all the way....that and maybe your EGR block off plate isn't sealed correctly....

yea hmm... it did smell right after i put the trunk in.. but this happened right after the car show. i didnt smell it the night before when i was driving with it before the car show. ill check that egr plate. ill make my own gasket for the trunk.

For all you other guys, have you thought about getting your cars dyno tuned?? Gas prices have dropped, but having a tuned car is somewhat ideal!
Plus it lets you know how much Hp you guys are putting down to the ground.

well dyno tuning is dependant on where and who you have tune it? You guys dont really have that many internal engine mods, ie cams, pistons, port polishing, so the tuner shouldnt have too much trouble tuning your shit. I got my car tuned by Aries, and would highly recommend him! He knows his shit, esp when it comes to H22A's.

Hey criag I am wanting my V6 dyno tuned w/ VAFC. Not sure which way I am going to go though. A Plug & Play setup or just tap into it. You have to hit me up on this. I want to plan to do this.

Well that is where we are different, i do most my modifications myself, and if i dont know how to do it then i'll pay jdm concepts to do it. So unlike you i DONT DROP TO MY KNEES TO GET STUFF DONE ON MY RIDE! Dang no wonder why your always coughing bro! lol Just kidding JED!

But seriously I got aries to tune my car thru my friend Gabe. Aries is his tuner! So I dont recall how much i paid, i think it was under 2 hundred bucks. Well worth it though!

If you go with a VAFC, then you are splicing into your harness. So i think that would be considered a piggy back. I know some people that are running the Apex Power FC, that ecu is around 1100 bucks, but well worth it. I really dont know much about the whole tuning aspect, so maybe call gabe or omar, and they will tell you what's the best route to go. oh btw its craig not criag!
