Jaime and Jed, SHAKE IT OFF and SHAKE Hands. I see your point Jaime with the whole raising the price for a trunk with minor imperfections. Truthfully I don’t see any imperfections in his trunk, and if you figure with gas prices the way they are and the cost of shipping this item, 50 bucks more is a steal. Plus the trunk with stands vibrations, I think Jed can contest to this. jk JED! As I said, I am not defending anyone just giving my opinion so don’t feel that I am hating or taking sides. Jed does have a point where people will low ball you, because I had it done recently and in the past with parts I’ve sold. I had a M2B4 tranny that some shops would sell for 1000-1200 bucks, and all I wanted was a price a little bit over what I paid for it. I paid 875, and sold it for 900, so I made 25 measly bucks, but finding a pallet, wrapping the tranny, and setting up shipping for this tranny was more than what I made off of the tranny. I had offers for 650, 550 from people who said oh I can get that tranny for that price, well in all means go get it for that price. Some shops wouldn’t split up a motor swap when it had this tranny, some shops would try to rape you on this tranny and lastly the would say it’s a easy tranny to get. Trust me I shop around for my stuff and go with the best bargain out there. I was low balled beyond belief, but for me I knew I would eventually find the right seller. Francisco, the buyer, was stoked he found this tranny for the price he did, and knew a good deal when he saw one. Check out pictures of the tranny I sold him on his thread. Tell me it wasn’t worth the price I was offering. http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...8&page=6&pp=15
Point of this is, Jed hold onto your shit cause its kind of a rare item, and you will find the right buyer. He is giving SD some love because he is selling it to us a little cheaper, and also everyone knows the situation he is in, so try to help the guy out. He can also be credited on organizing the CB7 tuner meets in San Diego, where we all met one another in person, and we have to admit we all made a couple of new friends in which we can joke around with, and get tips on making our rides one of a kind. Sure Jed will miss his CB7, but there comes a time in everyone’s life where they must move onto bigger and better things. Who knows, he could be the next Johnny Tran with his S2K.
Recently, I've been fortunate to get some of my parts on a homie discount, but for most of my parts I shopped around for the best price. Some of us are fortunate to get any kind of discount, so if you shop around for a trunk, see how much they are going for, the price of shipping, sales tax, and work that into your equation, his trunk may be the best bargain out there.
You will never recover the heart and tears or money you poured into your car, trust me guys i learned the hardway when I filed a stolen car claim with allstate. So whomever buys his car is kinda coming up, because I still see some cb7's stock going for 2500, or 3000. So do the math and guys a h22a will pass smog. You cant believe all the threads stating a JDM motor will not pass. Take it from a guy thats been there and done that!
Go guys help Jed unload his CHIT.
