Are there any current re-occuring meets?

Seems like there used to be regular meets and for some reason they died off.

If not, would anyone else be in to start one back up? This is a greatly supportive car community and modded cb's are too rare to just run into members at random. I'd love to be able to hang out and shoot the shit with other cb owners once or twice a month.

Shit, we could even do a monthly/bi-weekly wrenching meet up at someone's house if the attention the meets draw is too big a hassle. Everyone brings tools, parts to install and drinks.

    What do you guys/girls think?

So, absolutely no interest in a meet?

    Damn that's depressing.

Sorry, Lucien. I organized the last few CB7-exclusive meets in 2010, but interest slowly waned over time. I'm hoping somebody will organize a new meet in the next few months, but a lot of us are rarely on the forum anymore. I myself am too busy now and gave my Accord to my dad a few years ago.

If you want to gauge interest, start a poll in the Socal subsection proposing several dates/locations for a meet, and that would get things started. You're more than welcome to use my old meet threads as a platform to organize a new meet. Message me if you need any help.

Ah, ok. It sucks to hear that interest has fallen off so much locally when it seems there's other regions that are thriving, relatively.

Thanks for the offer, man. I'll hit you up if i decide to put something together.

True story. Many OG seem to have left, but some are still ard and kept their CB. Still got mine wrenching away. But it seems SoCal CB won't be the same as how it was years ago at it's peak

Lucien, if you want to organize a meet for this fall season, or even a road trip meet combo, I would love to help. There are still many CB enthusiasts in California who would love to meet up and drive together. People were trying to plan one in nor cal from SF to Santa Cruz earlier this year, and there was a lot of interest. We could plan something like that again, farther south if practical of course. You can PM me anytime .

So Cal Mobb does a good job but it's mostly a BBQ and not enough info going around...some.
I have a site but it is not regional Acccordobsesssion on FB

I have a wagon so sorta into the sedans and coupes, i'm also much older, I didn't fit in. over 55 white guy.
There was a really mellow meet in Simi Valley, but that was too far and it had more than Hondas. then there was the IN N Out one but it was too far again for me and I also stood out in a bad way. all the drivers were under 20 or even 18 some hot dogging,

Yeah, I'd like to work on putting together something regular that's chill enough to draw a mature crowd so it won't get shut down by cops like a lot of the other meets in california.

Both I went to were good and just when they arrived it got a litttle showy. As "mature" I hope you mean atttitude . But then again I could go for some "mature" ladies there too! LOL. Sadly the Hondas were not around when I was a teen and cruised Van Nuys Blvd, in the 70's Most of you all were not born! I wonder why it was shut down and wonder what the law is for doing it? I'd have as many CB's as I could to go down the Blvd just like we did every Wen. night! If you need a visual.. See American Graffiti.
