On a side note. Will u get any benefit by using gas with special additives (Techron, Vpower, etc) once and then continue on with ur normal gas w/o additives?

Yea If you do a 50/50 mix V-power and Techron = VTEC GAS, you'll get the explosive "VTEC just kicked in yo!" And the Johnny Tran "WOOOOO!!!!" facial expression.

You really wont know unless you tear you engine down see what the valves look like then put it back together fill up,run it, tear it back down again and see. or you could take their/our word for it.

I used to run Arco 91 Octane in my old h22 all the time until I pulled off my head and had my friend examine my valves and pistons. He laughed at me because the all the pistons smelled like AMPM's shitty gas, the gas also left a nasty residue on the pistons and valves.. From there on out I've ran nothing but chevron gas. That's my personal experience with AMPM..

ill never use arco gas. i once did and my h22 started knocking a bit. I always go to chevron and use 91 octane. Runs just right and get more miles to the tank.Arco sucks ass. even if they gave it to me free i would not use it. on the other hand maybe i would.lol

I used arco gas for so many years when I had the F22. Never had any problems and gas milage was always good And I'm talking more than 10 years lol, I've had the CB since '93 for those that don't know.

ok, so thos is my experience from a bike.

arco and mobile give the est milage and gas mileage. Shell and Cheveron are the worst for power and gas mileage. seems like he cheaper as is the better gas for me.

I stopped using arco because of the ping noise i would get on arco 91 and it was a good thing i stopped because the week after at the arco i used to go to at about 4am i saw the attendant open the cover and start pouring water with his hose in the gas chambers.

Ever since then i dont allow my car to go to any arco and my wifes car doesnt either. Its worth paying like 10 cents per gallon more imo.

I was desperate once and only had $15 cash. And I needed gas so I bought arco gas. I thought leaves were going to shoot out my exhaust our something. So much lag on the acceleration the 1/4 of a tank it got me only lasted 2 days of normal street driving. Usually I bought shell plus 89 but last 2 tanks has been from chevron. I wish arco had good gas because the ampm has too much good stuff. They need to put ampm's in better gas stations

Isn't that illegal? I would call someone...#'s are on the pump I think. Maybe the BBB. We pay through the ass, we don't need some gas owners pulling a black market trick.

I'm not sure how this would benefit them. Water is heavier than gas and doesn't mix with it. It floats to the bottom. It also doesn't compress so you'd ruin your engine if you got water in there, i.e. hydro lock.

Most of the time they cover the hoses because they run out of gas. So most of the cars that live around my area have cars that have ticking problems and they come to me to fix it (i work at autozone 2 minutes away). I dont feel like calling and reporting them. Its not my problem. I dont use cheap gas.

When I fill up with Arco or anything other then shell and cheveron I get horrible gas mileage. With Arco I get 260-280 10.5gallons with shell I get 315 10.5 tank.

i get 26mpg on my h22 with a heavy foot on arco gas.
