Meet at California Speedway March 2005

Well here is the official thread for the CB7 SoCal meet happening on March 26th. What i'm thinking is that we will meet at my house at noon and have a good ol' fashioned BBQ. From there, we will go to California Speedway for some 1/4 mile action! $20 gets you alot of runs in an official !/4 mile dragway or you could watch for $10. All you really need to worry about is that your car doesn't have any major fluid leaks (ie oil, coolant etc) and that you have a battery tie down (i have a cheap $10 one i bouht at pepboys). It doesnt matter if your car is stock or not, we're going to have fun! I do suggest to strip your car down as much as possible but if you dont know how, we could help you out when you egt to the BBQ.

As for my info, i live near downtown los angeles a couple of blocks south of the Staple Center...I will give you my address once the date gets closer (I will pm everyone that has signed up to go. As for food (cuz i know your hungry wont show up unless i give you some food) im thinking burgers and hot dogs and whatever else you want to bring. california speedway has a pretty decent drag strip. i was there when they first opened it. it just needs a sign board at the end of the track to notify the audience what the 1/4 time was as well as the trap speed. but for $20 unlimited runs isn't a bad deal.

count me in! i never dragged my car and i'm willing to see what we can do. i'd rather not strip her b/c i want to see how we do as it sits. ooo i'm getting excited!

It has that now...and they give you your time slips after every run too. GREAT! thats 2 people so far.

arrozburner : yo way to go on getting the SOCAL meet up and final. I know i started the who meet thing but damn my CB7 is broke no tranny. Well i should have a 2000 accord this or next week.

Does anyone in SD have an auto tranny for cheap and a place to put it in? sorry i have to ask. lol

im also down as a maybe. my car is pretty beat up. its missing front bumper, passenger side fender, passenger side headlight. i think its light enuff. so maybe

The CB7 is going to get fixed so I hope to get things done in time. Either an auto or the manual swap. I hope to see you people there!!!
