Socal Meet - July 10, 2010

So as some of you may know, Jed (Ghost 2.2) has retired from organizing the Southern California meets. I will be taking his place, at least for this upcoming meet, for a Socal meet in July. This is NOT the Norcal X Socal meet that Wilson (ikayto) is hosting in June 26th, but a separate, smaller Southern California meet.
This meet was created in response to comments pertaining to the "death" of Socal meets now that Jed is no longer hosting.

RULES:
- Everyone must be respectful towards each other.
- Everyone must wear a name tag. I'll be making a thread two weeks prior to the meet for a "final attending" list. Name tags will be made for people on the final list.
- No burnouts.
- No revving.
- Any non-Socal members who decide to attend are NOT required to bring food or drinks.
- Loud music is allowed.
- Smoking drugs, exchanging drugs, or any activity involving drugs is ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN.
- Socal members and/or Socal CB7tuners w/guest are REQUIRED TO BRING FOOD, or you will not eat. A picture will be taken of you and be posted online as a freeloader (That is the freeloader rule. Jed has spoken.)

i'll scope out some parks, santa monica spot is cool, but grouping all the cars together blows since we have to parallel park on both sides.

I just viewed Bolsa Chica state beach (Westminster) and El Dorado Park (Long Beach). It looks like Bolsa Chica has a few nice, big, empty parking lots on Google Maps. I might take a drive down there this weekend or next to see if it really is empty on a Saturday.
El Dorado park has a few parking lots, but a good amount of them are full on Google Maps.

Has anyone else been to these two places? Let me know if you know any details about the parking situations there; cost (if any), space, location, etc.

most of our active members in the past 2 years have been around the LA area. Granted Jed managed to pull out some of the San Diego guys out from inactivities for meets, the numbers just kept dwindling to the point where we were half way meeting 4-5 guys.
