well folks, some of you have noticed i haven't been active lately. this is because life takes you through ups and downs, however this is definitely not a down. it's simply a change of chapters in my life and with that came the sale of my beloved wagon, katie.
i was not in dire need to sell her but i recently acquired another vehicle, or truck in this case (05 nissan titan) for more real-world utility. you might wonder, heck you had a wagon, what more utility did you need? i needed more and then some. i say real world b/c i was super afraid to take katie on snowboard trips, haul concrete and tile for the house, carry bikes to the beach, etc being afraid to damage her. the wagon really became a project car that i drove daily rather than a daily "beater" which she was intended for. if i had the space i would have definitely kept her but it really wasn't feasible for me to own three cars so i decided to sell. she has served me well from the first day i took her home back in june of 08. here is a brief recap of her life in my hands.
katie at her peak during my ownership, but not at her full potential
she went to a good home, which i am very grateful for. i know in his hands, she will be cared for and possibly made better than what i could ever do. the new owner's track record speaks for itself. my wagon will be going to my good friend mike, aka big mike. if you are not aware of who he is, then you're not up to date with the best hondas out there right now.
i still have some bits and pieces left for sale so look out for a for sale thread soon. i am still going to be around as i plan to continue my real project which is my CB coupe. since i got my wagon, kristin has taken a back seat which i feel bad for. now i can focus my attention on her and make her the track star that she is. i can now tow her to the track using my new truck if need be.
the last moments of ownership
farewell katie my big booty girl, you will truly be missed!
My CB from another mother, lol. Great how you still want to mod your CB. I finally got mine running, but still needs a lot of work. We gotta get our Rosewoods together for a photo!
The wagon is gone??!! Dude, that car was clean and simple. Damn. Gonna miss her.
