I'm still puzzled how you guys got burnt lol. The whole day seemed partly overcast w/ a breeze. Next meet, someone bring one of those portable gazebos like the kind you see at car shows.

actually wilson...... there is just as much of a chance of getting burnt when it's overcast as the cloud cover provides a "magnifying" effect, plus you got there too late....... lotsa sun all day

a) cus ppl has no common sense
b) no sun = no sun burn
c) you dumb!

wrong!! people get burn from the uv rays even if sun is blocked by the clouds it still passes through.

lol cool, so I'm not choice C since you declared all of the above "wrong!!" Yea I learned something new today I guess; never experienced a tan on a partly cloudy day maybe because I have more tolerance.

May have not been at the meet since 11 but I was out in the open doing my presentation from 10am-1pm, and the driving to UCLA, to Long Beach, and to the meet.

Funny thing is "Common sense is not so common."

well the thing is on a normal day you wont get sunburn for us we were out at the sun from start to end. only time we were under shade was in the restroom.

and jed has been at the park since 9 am that day, out of all of us he did get the worst of it

wilson your too dark to even notice the sun touching your skin sunny or not. unless its like 115 degrees....everything is probably a chilly day for you.

I got burnt like that too, and since I was wearing my sun glasses all day, the area where my glasses were on didn't get burnt and you could totally tell how bad I got burnt from my face
