So just pulled the engine out of the civic and took the head off. Tons of oil buildup in the intake manifold. Cumbustion chamber is pretty carbon covered, no big deal. The big deal is that the headgasket couldn't have been blown. Absolutly no signs of it. Next thing tomorrow in the daylight with a clear mind will be to check for other stuff like a burnt valve or somthing and pray that it isn't somthing in the bottom-end. Hang in there rod bearings! Just sucks that it wasn't what I thought it was. The lesson here is to do compression/leakdown tests to determine issues......

Ya I got a rcc headgasket from summit on its way. Doesn't matter, I would have needed the headgasket when I took the head off to fix the valves eitherway. I'm not too mad. I'm actualy thinking about putting new piston rings in while I'm down there. Probly good insurance for how much they cost.
