FUCK AGX's and their weak ass fucking rod threads.

I was trying to disassemble the strut/spring assembly because my nuespeed springs are supposed to get here today. Well, the fucking thread stripped itself while I was unscrewing it.

How does that happen?

Yeah, the nut is almost off. It won't go back down either. It's just spinning with the rod. I gota figure out a way to get it back on.

Now I gota save up to buy some new shocks for my race springs.

Can't you hold the rod with the part near the top. I think it is an 8mm or somthing, but that would help. As long as that doesn't round out too

Well, I got that far. Then, at the end where there's nothing else to grab on to....it stops and spins the rod.

I can't tighten or loosen it now.

I think I'm gona cut some of the dust cover and then use vice grips to hold the rod in place.

That is a Gross Misdemeanor. Just below a felony.
But that is what you have been charged with.
That prosecutor will look at the facts of the case and determine weather or not
they can make that stick. If waht you are describing is true, then I wouldnt worry about that part. Worry about SAVING YOUR LICSENCE! Get the charge knocked down!
I just plead guilty to it, worst decision of my life. that charge is a HUGE deal. But, the facts of the case, if you are telling the truth, are not a big deal, and you were over charged. Period. so go to get knocked down to a Negligent Driving in the second degree. Smaller fine, no jail time.

Well, I did what I said i was going to do and it worked, without scratching up the rod.

The front suspension is ready to go in and will go in as soon as my tranny arrives.

The rear suspension is ready to go in, but it's being a bitch to go in.

I remember when I first got my suspension, I had the hardest time with the rear struts lining up at the bottom bolt. It's not a perfect shot for the bolt to go in. One end goes in, and the other end is about 1/8" too low, meaning I have to manipulate the fucking bushing around some for it to go in. It's a bitch without help.

it was hard putting mine in also, i had someone stand on the wheel to push it all the way down and it lined up pretty good then

hah, yuppp I hate that bolt so I put it in first since everything else usualy isn't that hard.

so ur saying get a lawyer to get my charge lowered to a negligent driving? im not pleading guilty to the reckless driving charge cuz i wasnt being reckless.. i only exceeded the speed limit 10 mph or less..and i wasnt like swervin in and out of traffic or anything it was a strait line and there was no other traffic around.. i cant afford a lawyer but i reaaaly cant get my licence taken away.. a fine is ok cuz i can pay that off over a few months.. and i dont want a gross misdemeanor

If you can't afford a lawyer, you'll get one appointed to you depending on your financial circumstances. You'll have to fill out a paper stating your income and your expenses.

It's wreckless because you were racing and accelerating too fast.

You also have to factor in what the officer wrote in his report. You know the judge WILL be reading that. Talk to your court appointed attorney (if you can't afford one) and see what your options are.
