Carcollectorkid... I saw this and I thought of you

But on a serious note, I am curious about the quality of these filters. I wonder if they are up there with AEM and K&N but just a cheaper price because they were a buy out. Seems like a good dealio for putting together a short ram.
This is also the cheapest generic pipe I can find on ebay. I was wondering if you northwest homies could give me your opinion on it. Does it look like it will do the job?

Haha. Thanks for the filter idea. I have a diesel truck K&N.
As the air intake. that would work nicely. good price too.

Sweet I will probably pick that up. Every other listing I found was about $40 with a crappy cone filter that I don't want any way. I will try and do some research to see if zex is known for making a decent filter. I only know of them for the their nitrous kits because you have one lol. I don't want to buy it if it is going to be just as crappy as the other generic ebay filters.

EVERYTHING else cloth is the same. not junk just the same. Made the same performs the same. Airfilters really make no difference with a mostly stock motor.
Most cars, even ones with aftermarket header and exhaust will perform better with the stock airbox+ K&N filter. Plenum volume is important on a small displacement engine. having an airbox means you have more of it. take your stock airbox, disconnect it from the resonator in the fender, and put a hard plastic pipe between the box and throttle. Best performance period.
Almost EVERY kind of race car that there is (Fuel Injected) runs some kind of airbox.
