Ok, well, here in Yakima, there's a "tuner", pretty much my competition. He has his own shop and I've taken A LOT of his would be customers. He's been talking lots of shit about me lately I guess. If you read his "about me" section, it sounds put together WAY to well for him. This guy is a total douche, he's smart, but he's a douche. He knows some about tuning, but he's a much better businessman.

What a fucking tool box.

This guy charges 300+ for tuning on Crome Pro, 500+ for dyno tuning. He has tried selling people P28's for their NON vtec engines, saying it was the ONLY ecu that would work. His shop worked on carbonaccord69's car for OVER a year, and still didn't finish it. I finished what they left undone. They charged him quite a bit too. They have the worst customer service I've ever seen(i went to his shop to talk to him before he ever knew who I was and basically played stupid and asked a bunch of questions about turbos and tuning. He quoted me $5000 for a turbo kit and tuning. Before I had gotten there, he was working on a customers car, but he stopped working on it for 2 hours just to talk to me..lol)

i also usually don't do this because it's just not ethical, but I looked at one of his "dyno tuned" maps from his former customer, which came to me after going to him. It looked like he had done very little fuel tuning and only at WOT, and timing seemed untouched. $450 for that. Ouch.

I've heard bad things about every shop I've heard of. Honestly I never hear the good news,lol. You should try and get a job for this guy actualy, if you think about it.

I hear bad things from all states, but here we have a pretty bad rep...

I don't know if they suck. I think people just are quick to hate. It sucks for Joser though. Gotta compete with a dyno. Its hard to prove your tuning is as good or better than the next guy with the next guy has numbers.

That does make sense...I tend to do my own work, so I havent ever really been to a shop per se, so....I mean, I always get great customer service from the guys at Intec when I go in there to buy stickers LOL.

lol, ya and I've heard some crazy storys about intec. Most of it probly not true. I hear most of the complaining about shops at the subaru meets since most of them don't do their own work. Like a fmic... cmon its not that hard. Honestly all they do at those meets is gossip... buncha babies.

When I tell them the cars, either my 1991 Legacy Turbo, or a 1984 Supra, 1989 Supra Turbo, they scoff and say, "huh"..and our conversation ends.....I do not care for most Subaru guys. I hate elitists. That is the one thing I hate. It is too much like racism for me.....

When I was tuned by Jose and brought it into get it Dyno tuned, the guy was pretty impressed by the tune. Even though I only told him to smooth it out, he said there wasn't much he could have done more performance wise.

He was only able to squeeze out 5hp and 8tq out of Jose's tune. Not that I know anything about tuning or am I trying to toot anyone's horn, I am just stating what I heard. (he told me.)
