Why dont you just pick up another good used one or a jdm f22b? I dont think its worth it to rebuild them.

He's right though, after paying for a fresh rebuild you're spending is probably about half way to an H22. You can get a nice F motor for probably four or five hundred bucks.....

I know of a great machine shop, but I don't know if the guy BUILDS motors. I've had him do work for me, and so has my father......he knows his stuff. Call 'em up:

I had my f22a1 completely rebuilt and regret it dearly. I didnt have time to build an H like i wanted and i knew the head mech at Honda of seattle so he rebuilt my f22a1 really fast... new internals and machined head.
Had my engine not died and had the knowledge i would have just bough a f22b or built an H like i wanted

totally, just go and drive it til she dies. in the meanwhile, so some searching around, forums, "ufixit honda/acura auto wreaking, craigslist. but then find an "h" for a good price. do your waterpump/timing belt, basic tune up. and whaalaaa,,,, YOU GOT VTEC. and its soooooo much fun. trust me,, i used to know, atleast "baby vtec"......
