Ok so my swap is almost done on my 91 wagon. It is getting a 1999 usdm h22. My shop is telling me it's not getting any spark because the car is internal coil and the motor is external(or the other way around, I don't remember). Is there a way to wire around that or do I have to run a jdm h22 distributor? If I do have to run the jdm distributor, does anyone have ok for sale? Please help!!!!!

I have the same motor in my car and i am running the stock external coil from the motor and it gets spark fine. You may want them to check the grounds on that motor or see it the coil itself is cracked. GL!

I'm sure the shop converted it. At least I hope so.
If I were you, I'd get the car out of that shop ASAP. They obviously don't know what the fuck they're doing and don't know how to think out of the box.
But if you have no option, tell them to put a 30 amp fuse in the plug that originally went to the external coil(the coil will need to be removed). Put it between the black/yellow and solid yellow wires.
Done.
