i went to Umigo in Livermore and i have to say...i havent crashed so hard in my life. i came flying down and got flagged ot let someone pass so i decided to take the outside line. that was THE WORSE IDEA IN MY LIFE. if you didnt take the right line, you'd be all over the place and in my case i went full speed into the wall. the back end of the go kart lifted about a foot in the air and i spun 180 around.
2nd practice: did better, shifted my seat back in hopes of better weight distribution into the rear. same thing, came hot into a turn, smacked the wall pretty hard and got black flagged.
they told me to have better control of the cart before i begin speeding off again. it's hard to have control when the track is FUCKING ICY! turns out that i hit the wall so hard that the energy went though the tires and send one of the stationary carts into the track and they had to go retrieve it,
the turns are very technical with a lot of hairpins, chicanes and shit. the carts are kinda underpowered so you bog if you drift or go too slow which is pretty much the entire track.
at least at Lemans, you can get traction if you run the right line and roll out of the throttle. Umigo was just crazy.
