fuck!!!!

My laptop died, gave me the blue screen of death..
Now i need a new harddrive and an operating system..

Anyone have a copy of winxp?

I need help bad..

u sure its the hard drive problem? its probably a drive issue. u can dl xp off the toRrEntZ and burn using nero.

command prompt as like what? i meant driver. not cd/dvd drive. can u get into the bios? check ur hard drive and see if it there.

Ok now I found a copy of vista laying around.

I reformatted the drive and installed windows properly.
When it was prompted to restart , loads windows then suddenly tells me
that a windows file kernel is either missing or corrupt.

vista sucks. i had problems with installing that crap on someones pc and always had errors (bsods), resource hog and didnt boot right. looks nice but install xp. did the laptop come with vista or xp? if u try to install xp and gives u the same error. then its hardware. did u get what the bsod error was?

I'm a PC noob so I don't know much.

What it keeps doing is , error error error.

I can't even start it in safe mode.

Reformat , install windows vista , kernel missing or corrupt.

Get on aim btw.
