Caravan: Cali Accord Meet 2013

Departing: Saturday, June 8, 2013
Time: 3:00 am
Location: Chevron gas station on the corner of McGlaughlin and Tully Rd.

Meeting point for others that want to join the caravan has been added.
Time: 4:30 am - 4:45 am
Location: John "Chuck" Erreca Rest Stop. One exit after Mercey Springs Rd 165.


My iPhone has determined that the trip will take approximately 5.5 hours. Giving us an arrival time of 9:30. Thus giving us an +/-1.5 hour window to wash cars, pitstops etc.

Anyone that is making the trip to this years Cali Accord Meet are more than welcome to join our caravan.

I managed to get time off so I will be rolling down interstate 5 on Friday. I got to find my waterless carwash stuff for the meet though

I realize that some of you coming from further north, and San Jose would be out of the way. I will be adding a stop on I5 where we can meet up so you can join the caravan. I have located a rest stop (John "Chuck" Erreca) along Interstate 5 that looks like a good meeting point. It is one exit down after Mercy Springs Rd. Should be arriving there at about 5:30 a.m. I am hoping this stop doesn't take more than 10-15 minutes and then we're off again. Honestly we'll probably make one or 2 more pits stops for bathroom breaks and what not.

We'll that depends. So the plan is if my GF can make the trip then I will be spending the night at a hotel in SoCal. We'll be 8 months pregnant so pulling a whole day in the car is out the question. Even 4-5 hours is iffy. I have Hotel info but you gotta PM me to get that. If she can't make it than the plan becomes saving myself $140 and returning home after the meet.

But there are others that are coming that plan on coming home after the meet as their game plan period. As far as in know 3 members will be pulling a round trip.

Yes leaving at 4am gives us about an hour window for whatever. Pit stops and car wash at least for me. I know it's early, but it beats using family for just a place to stay. Save a Telly rate as well.
