Before you put your car under the knife, take that capicator out and see what happens. If all else, I still have my spare H22 chillin in my storage shed. U can use that alternator if u'd like instead of buying a new one for 100+ bills. U could use that money towards something else instead. Oh btw, Ms. Charlies Angel lives somewhere close to you coz she turned right on the intersection going towards your house area.

Anyways,

Today installed my old spoon oil drain plug from my old h22 motor. My oilpan was leaking seldomly after my last oil change. Turns out the threads finally gave away on the plug. The previous JDM owner used a regular hardware washer and forced it onto the plug rather than a OEM honda crush washer. I pulled it off by twisting it off but it hurt the threads a little on the bolt itself. After 3 oil changes it couldn't take it anymore and I guess the threads on my oilpan finally flattened out the thread bolts near the top of the bolt causing leak to slowly seep out. It started off very minor but then got to the point where it started leaving spots on the driveway.

I just changed my oil with Royal purple so I didn't want to waste alot. Pulling out the old plug and swapping it really fast was exciting. I was in a rush because I didn't want to drive my parents car to work and had my car running a 1/2 hour prior. The semi hot oil got onto my hand and I could feel it through the lexan gloves but no burns The tricky part was fitting the bolt into the hole while the magnet wanted to kiss the outer part of the oil pan rather than just go through the hole while the oil was pouring out.

So far so good the spoon plug seemed to have fixed the problem. Hopefully the oilpan wasn't stripped by the previous owner but we'll see. If that be the case, Morosso performance oil pan will be my next mod.
